@Salon de The, Milner Street, Waterkloof, Pretoria, South Africa – Avoid this place like the plague. One vegetarian dish and a self-righteous owner. The vegetables were salty as Hades, and when sent back, he would not speak to me, he chose to speak to my companion, probably because I stutter. Asked why it was so salty, he responded that he doesn’t use salt, only “vegetable seasoning” (still to my companion, not me), then got all self-righteous that I “tampered with his recipes”. Meanwhile, he was out on the patio, chatting with his friends, not keeping an eye on the kitchen. Didn’t offer to cook it again without seasoning. My companion ordered a Greek salad for me , and on the bill the original dish was crossed out and “salad” superimposed – at the same price as the original dish. Good G_d, service has deteriorated at such a frightening pace. Again @SalonDeThe, Milner Street, Waterkloof. Ghastly beyond compare. AVOID.
